Our CEO, Pantelis Angelides, led a two-day workshop on “Information Security Risk Management in Critical Infrastructures” on February 8 and 9, 2023.
The workshop was organised by the Digital Security Authority, the supervising authority for ensuring the security and resilience of critical information infrastructure in the Republic of Cyprus and was intended for operators of critical infrastructure across the full spectrum of essential services.
Throughout the training, our CEO covered a range of topics related to information security risk management, including identifying and assessing security risks, determining the impact and mitigation methodologies as well as selecting appropriate security controls.
A scenario relating to one critical infrastructure was the basis of the training and the participants had the opportunity to simulate the risk methodology on a close to reality scenario. The training also focused on the importance of complying with the national regulatory framework as well as industry standards for information security.
The purpose of the training was to provide operators of critical infrastructure in Cyprus with a broader understanding of the threats and risks facing their systems, as well as the best practices and strategies for protecting against cyberattacks. Additionally, it aimed to develop capabilities to strengthen their security posture and safeguard their critical services and operations from potential threats.
